Uzbekistan and Afghanistan have signed a $100 million contract for 2022 on electricity supply.
The contract provides for the supply of 2 billion kWh of electricity, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) reported.
According to the company’s press service, the agreement was inked by Hafiz Mohammad Amin, Chief Executive Director of DABS, and Dadajon Isakulov, Chairman of the National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan.
During the visit of the DABS delegation to Uzbekistan, the parties also discussed the construction of the Surkhan-Puli-Khumri transmission line project.
According to the report, the Afghan delegation promised to cooperate with Uzbekistan on the suspended projects and ensure their security.
