Uzbekistan’s embassies and consulates introduce online appointment system for citizens abroad
Uzbekistan has launched a new digital service on the MyGov portal, allowing citizens residing abroad to schedule appointments at embassies and consulates online. This initiative aims to streamline access to consular services and significantly reduce the time spent waiting in physical queues.
According to the portal administration, the days of waiting for hours at diplomatic missions are coming to an end. While citizens previously had to visit embassies in person to secure a place in line, they can now manage the entire process through the my.gov.uz platform.
To use the service, users must log in to the MyGov portal and select the "Booking an appointment at the embassy (consulate)" option. From there, applicants specify the relevant consular district and the type of service required. The system allows users to view a calendar of available dates and times, from which they can select a convenient slot and receive a digital queue ticket.
This appointment scheduling service is provided entirely free of charge.
