Ulugbek Inoyatov nominated as a presidential candidate

During the plenum, a decision was made to nominate Ulugbek Inoyatov as a presidential candidate at the upcoming congress of the People’s Democratic Party, UzA reports.

In June 2018, Ulugbek Inoyatov was dismissed from the post of Minister of Public Education and appointed Rector of Namangan State University.

Ulugbek Inoyatov, who was dismissed from the post of Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan, has not put forward a single initiative over the past year and a half, then President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

In mid-2019, he headed the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan.

On November 10, 2019, a talk show “Democratic Debates” was organized among the political parties of Uzbekistan. The event participants discussed the consumer basket. During the debate, Ulugbek Inoyatov said that in Tashkent, one breadwinner who receives a salary of 2.5 million soums a month can easily feed a family of five.

Earlier it was reported that on May 11, an extraordinary plenum of the central council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan was held. During the plenum, a decision was made to nominate the chairman of the executive committee of the party’s central council, Abdushukur Hamzaev, as a presidential candidate at the upcoming congress of the Ecological Party.

According to the CEC, on May 10, an election campaign for the presidential election started in Uzbekistan.

Political parties must, within three days after the announcement of the election campaign, apply to the Central Electoral Commission for the registration of their authorized representatives. To participate in the elections, parties must submit documents before May 15.
