Iran eyes to import vehicles from Uzbekistan

Islamic Republic of Iran plans to import vehicles from Uzbekistan, reports the “Tahlilnoma” program on "Uzbekistan" TV channel.
As the bus and cargo fleet of IRI is in dire need of renewal, “Sepehr Meshqat Caspian” company of Iran seeks to cooperate with GM Uzbekistan, Spot says.
At the first stage, the Iranian company is planning to buy several models of vehicles from the “Uzavtosanoat” joint-stock company. Then the volume will be increased up to 1,000 units.
Besides, the “Sepehr Meshqat Caspian” made proposal to later import products in “complete knock-down” and “semi knock-down” forms to assemble them in the Iranian factories.
Earlier it was reported that GM Uzbekistan put more than 29,000 automobiles on sale.
