Rich cultural heritage and arts of Uzbekistan were demonstrated in the U.S.
On Oct. 4, the first-ever exhibition, demonstrating Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage and arts, was organized at the World Bank Head Quarters in Washington. It was organized by the Uzbek Embassy in the United States on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the country's Independence.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the US Mr. Javlon Vakhabov opened the fair and welcomed numerous guests, among which were the World Bank Group officials and staff, the US authorities, local journalists and other members of the US community.
Mr. Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan, was a guest of honor. He is currently on an official visit in the United States to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation with his American counterpart.
