Uzbek passport is ranked 82 most powerful in the world

London based consulting firm Henley & Partners, who annually releases ranking of all the passports of the world according to the number of countries their holders can travel to visa-free, placed Uzbek passport on the 82 position in the 2018 ranking. The consulting firm notes Uzbek citizens can visit 59 countries visa-free.

The ranking is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which maintains the world’s largest and most accurate database of travel information, and is enhanced by extensive in-house research.

The index is updated in real-time, as and when visa-policy changes come into effect.

According to new index the long-term record holder, Germany, no longer has the most powerful passport in the world.

Instead, the world's most powerful passports belong to Japan and Singapore, tied for first place with access to 180 countries, visa-free.

Germany has dropped to having the second most powerful passport, with visa-free access to 179 countries.

The list of top 3 is concluded by Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Sweden, Spain, and South Korea, whose citizens can travel 178 countries without having to apply for a visa.
