Uzbekistan wins North Korea in a friendly match in Tashkent
On Oct. 13, Uzbekistan national football team played a friendly match against North Korea in Tashkent.
Our compatriots took full control of the game from the very first minute of the match and boosted attacks, creating great chances before the opponent’s goalpost. However, a lively affair remained goalless until the 37st minute when Marat Bikmayev scored on the right wing after receiving a tap in from his teammate.
The Man of the match Bikmayev netted the second goal on the 90th minute of the match, sealing the victory of the Uzbek side decisively.
It was the first victory of our national team under Héctor Cúper coaching and the first after losses in 10 consecutive matches.
The next friendly match will be held on 16 October in Tashkent against the national team of Qatar.
