Uzbekistan, Russia to sign accords worth $ 20 billion
Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, is to visit Uzbekistan on Oct. 18-19. Within the framework of his visit, a package of documents worth $ 20 billion will be signed between Uzbekistan and Russia, the press service of the Ministry for Foreign Trade said.
According to the Ministry officials, more than 800 delegates, including government representatives, heads of leading Russian companies and other top figures will be visiting Uzbekistan with the Russian President.
It should be noted that it is the largest delegation by the Russian Federation to be received in Uzbekistan. To date, the maximum number of delegates was around 200.
During the visit, scores of bilateral accords and an intergovernmental economic program for 2019-2024 will be inked in Tashkent.
Furthermore, the rectors of over 70 prominent higher educational institutions of Russia will come to attend the first “Forum of Rectors”. They will discuss with their counterparts in Uzbekistan the issues of cooperation between the higher educational institutions of the two countries.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin will participate in the international cooperation forum and witness the launching of the first AES in Uzbekistan.
It is noted that more than 200 Russian media outlets will cover the visit. All conditions will be created for their convenience provided for this purpose.
