Uzbekistan to launch e-commerce site, online information portal for fruit and vegetable exporters

The Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to increase the export of fruit and vegetable products" was adopted.

In accordance with the presidential decree, the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Council of Farmers, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of Uzbekistan, all together, have to prepare the launch of e-commerce platform "TradeUzbekistan.com" at the expense of the Fund for the development of communication technologies by March 1, 2019. 

It is planned that this online trading platform will be integrated with information systems of the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Customs Committee, including:

• producers, exporters of fruits and vegetables, potential importers, types and volumes of fresh fruits, dried and processed fruits and vegetables, information of the supplier of seeds and fertilizers for fruit and vegetable products;

•export-oriented fruit and vegetable products, information on the volume, and amount of fruits and vegetables, as well as information portal of exporters of fruits and vegetables, allowing to observe all stages of the export process in real time.
