International food festival took place in Karakalpakstan
An international gastronomic festival "99 Aral fish dishes" was held by Kuksu Lake in Karakalpakstan, UzA reports.
The festival was preceded by a conference on the theme “Southern Aral - a territory of innovative development”, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakhstan. Following the event, an international Eco festival titled “Restoration of the Aral and Muynak” was also organized.
Uzbek chefs from all regions of the country participated in the gastronomic festival. They demonstrated their cooking talents to tourists from Russia, France, Germany and Poland, as well as local citizens.
The chefs competed in cooking dishes with fish. The festival program was diversified by national songs and dances, as well as an exhibition of the works of artisans.
Oltina Zaripova from Chimbay district, the Republic of Karakalpakhstan, was recognized as the best cook. The second place was occupied by Farkhod Navvozov from Urgench and the third winner was Khalifa Japarova from Muynak district.
