Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discussed consular issues
On October 25, 2018, regular inter-MFA consultations on consular issues between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place in Astana, the press service of the MFA reported.
Delegations of the Consular and Legal Departments of the Uzbek and Kazakh Foreign Ministries discussed issues related to the implementation of certain provisions of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963, multilateral and bilateral documents on legal assistance and legal relations in civil, family and criminal matters, as well as current cooperation in rendering consular legal assistance to citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan located in the territories of the parties.
At the end of the meeting, a protocol was signed and the sides agreed to hold the next round of consultations in Uzbekistan.
