Law enforcement officers detained the driver who ran over the pedestrian on the Kamchik pass and fled the scene, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
It should be noted that the incident occurred on October 22 at 8:55 pm in Pop district, Namangan region. The driver hit to death a pedestrian, Erkin Ergashboyev, 41, resident of “Katartal” makhalla, Jalakuduk district of Andijan region and fled.
After the man was hit by the first car, he was also driven over by several other cars. The drivers did not notice the victim in the dark. As a result, he was injured badly and died on the spot.
“Following the investigations, it was found out that the murder was committed by B.Z., a resident of Andijan. He struck the man on his “Lacetti” and fled the scene of the accident. He is now arrested and a criminal case has been initiated against him,” the Interior Ministry reported.
