Flash mob goes on: another 6 people were holding a lump of soil on their shoulders

On October 27, the hot topic of the Internet was a picture depicting khokimiyat officials, chairman of the local authority and two farmers standing on the irrigation ditch in “Akkurgan” district, Tashkent region.

Later on, the khokim of this district, Farkhod Omonov and his deputy Sherzod Murodov (one of the persons in the photo) spoke about the incident. The khokim said that "it was identified that farmers did not irrigate the grain crops, the deputy came into the ditch to show the availability of water and the rest followed him”.

Currently, Sherzod Murodov has been fined for an administrative offense.

Following the same picture, another photo appeared. It also describes 6 people. Apparently, these people are involved in agricultural sphere. They carry a large lump of soil in their hands. At first, social media users were confused by the given information that as if these people were the same sufferers of the previous incident.

In fact, they are totally different casualties and the incident happened in another district of Tashkent region.

According to Kun.uz correspondent, the second photo was taken at one of the wheat fields in Bekabad district.

It was found out that wheat was planted on an incompetent area, so that the officials were forced to carry a large lump of soil found on the same field. It is not clear how long they had to hold large soil pieces (it was told that the 6 in Akkurgan stayed in the water for more than half an hour, but they confirmed no longer than a minute).

The above two incidents took place on the same day, October 25.

Reportedly, these events occurred during the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Zoyir Mirzayev to Tashkent region. Former Minister of Agriculture, Zoyir Mirzayev, who heads the information and analytical department on Agriculture and Irrigation management, processing agricultural products and consumer goods, is currently traveling to Tashkent Region.

At the end of the daily government meeting, which was dedicated to the issues of cotton harvesting in 2018 and led by Zoyir Mirzayev, wheat planting issues were discussed. Participants were shown the video clip of the found 6 large pieces of soil on the wheat field. Ne'mat Abdullayev (appointed to the district as a new governor at the end of September 2018), the governor of Bekabad district was rebuked for such performance.
