Inflation rate in the consumer sector reached 9,5% in Uzbekistan
In October this year, in Uzbekistan, costs for goods and services in the consumer market increased by an average of 1,3%, the State Statistics Committee of the Republic reports.
According to the committee, in general, for 10 months, inflation rate in the consumer sector was 9,5%.
In the first eight months of the current year, the trend for inflation showed gradual decrease. Since September, the annual inflation rate again took an increasing course. In October 2018, it became 16.3% in comparison to October 2017.
The rise of the US currency exchange rate has impacted on the increase of prices for nonfood items and imported products.
It should be noted that from September 15 to October 15 of this year, rate of the US dollar rose by 4.1% and currently, $1 is equal to 8236,87 sums.
