The results show a notable gap between income groups. Those earning between UZS 2 million and UZS 4 million per month felt the lightest price pressure, reporting perceived inflation of 10.5%. At the other end of the scale, respondents earning more than UZS 30 million said prices had risen by 14.7% over the past twelve months – suggesting that higher earners, who tend to spend more on a broader basket of goods, are tracking a wider range of price increases.
Regionally, Kashkadarya stands out as the hardest hit, with residents there perceiving inflation at 12.9%. Surkhandarya followed at 12.4% and Tashkent region at 12.1%. At the other end of the spectrum, residents of Fergana reported the lowest perceived inflation at 9.5%, while those in the Republic of Karakalpakstan recorded 10% and Khorezm region 10.1%.
When asked which categories had seen the most noticeable price rises, respondents pointed to meat and dairy products, petrol and fuel, fruit and vegetables, electricity and natural gas, medicines, and construction materials.
