Uzbekistan started importing potatoes from Kyrgyzstan
Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan has started exporting potatoes to Uzbekistan. The export is being implemented under the agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan and the Inspectorate of Plant Quarantine of Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Ministry reports.
Uzbekistan has announced a list of 17 companies that are allowed to import potatoes from Kyrgyzstan.
At present, the Issyk-Kul region entrepreneurs and “Namangan Universal Savdo Invest” LLC authorities have signed an agreement on the supply of 2,000 tons of potatoes.
To date, the Kyrgyz side has exported 66 tons of potatoes to Uzbekistan.
