Uzbekistan imported 39,800 tonnes of chicken meat from 18 countries in January–August 2026, up 24.8% from the same period a year earlier, the National Statistics Committee said on September 16.

The country spent $47.6 million on chicken meat imports, with the volume rising by 7,900 tonnes compared with January–August 2025.

Türkiye supplied the largest share, at 10,200 tonnes, followed by Russia with 7,200 tonnes and China with 5,200 tonnes.

Belarus supplied 3,500 tonnes, while the United States supplied 3,400 tonnes.

Other countries accounted for 10,300 tonnes of chicken meat imports during the period.

Uzbekistan’s imports rose 17.8% year-on-year to $29.6 billion in January-July 2026, the National Statistics Committee said on September 15.

The Central Asian country bought goods and services from more than 160 countries during the period, with China leading at $9.6 billion, followed by Russia at $5.3 billion and Kazakhstan at $2.4 billion, the committee said.
