ADB granted $ 45 million for development of medical aid in Uzbekistan
The Asian Development Bank allocated $ 45 million loan to Uzbekistan for 25 years for the development of the first medico-sanitary aid. This fund, in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, will be directed to material-technical strengthening of 793 rural family polyclinics.
About $ 40 million will be spent on purchasing medical and non-medical equipment.
Following the implementation of the project, medical establishments are expected to assist 88,000 patients daily. About 4,800 healthcare workers will be serving there.
Uzbekistan, in turn, invests $ 12,8 million into the project. In particular, $ 11 million has tax and customs privileges.
ADB loan settlements are made at the expense of the state budget.
The project "Development of the first medical-sanitary aid" will be completed by 2021.
