“Taliban” captured the second Afghan military base in a week
The “Taliban” militants have occupied a military base in the Afghan capital, Pajhwok news agency reported.
The provincial council and the Defense Ministry confirmed the fact of occupancy of the military base. However, the losses incurred by the parties have not been disclosed.
The Afghan media affirmed that during the attack on military base, the representatives of “Taliban” killed 10 soldiers and captured 13.
This base is the second one occupied by the militants during the week. On the night of November 2, the “Taliban” took control of an important base of the public security police “Pul-i-Acha”, located between the districts “Shirin-Tagab” and “Davlatobod”, in Faryob province.
During the attack, the militants captured 17 policemen, 4 tanks, 2 reactive devices, guns and ammunition. More than 10 militants were killed during the clashes.
