Uzbek-Japanese medico-information center to be established in Tashkent
In Tashkent, an Uzbek-Japanese medico-information center will be established soon. This was announced following the meeting with representatives of the Japanese side in Tashkent city administration.
“Currently, the issue of implementing a project to create an Uzbek-Japanese medico-information center in Tashkent is being considered in collaboration with the Japanese company “Ometa”. The estimated cost of the project is $100,000,” the press service of the city administration reported.
During the meeting, the issue of signing a memorandum of cooperation with the State Committee on Investments was discussed. Also, the Japanese side reacted positively on the initiative to establish a working group.
“Ometa” is a Japanese organization for external technical assistance in the field of medical equipment. The goal of the establishment is to assist other countries in the development of medical institutions, to modernize the healthcare sector, also, to improve the qualifications of medical personnel, including within the framework of the Japanese program “Official Development Assistance”. 138 companies are the members of “Ometa”, out of which 128 are manufacturers of medical equipment.
