The former Deputy PM of the Republic of Uzbekistan Zoyir Mirzayev has been appointed khokim of Sharof Rashidov district of Jizzakh region, Kun.uz correspondent reported.

He was introduced to the public at the extraordinary meeting of the district council of people's deputies.

Prior to this, Sharof Rashidov district was headed by Sayfiddin Umarovich Ismailov. In December 2016, he was transferred from Jizzakh province governance to the district administration (Jizzakh district at that time).

It should be reminded that Zoyir Mirzayev, in accordance with the presidential decree issued on October 29, was dismissed from his Deputy PM post due to serious shortcomings in the grain harvest and irrigation.
