Governor of Tashkent region donated 300 million soums to “school without a telephone” in Angren
On April 25, governor of the Tashkent region Zoyir Mirzayev presented 300 million soums to school No. 17 in Angren, which implemented the “school without a telephone” initiative, the press service of the regional administration reported.
Telephones have not been used in this educational institution for 50 days, the report notes. The prize was presented to the school director Zebo Makhkamova.
It should be recalled that in February Zoyir Mirzayev invited educational institutions in the region to come up with such an initiative. The governor said that, in agreement with parents, students and teachers should be prohibited from using phones on school grounds. The governor then promised 300 million soums to schools that would implement this initiative.
On March 6, the “school without a telephone” system was implemented in schools No. 13 and 17 in the city of Angren, Tashkent region.
