At the meeting, the sides considered the creation of a multifunctional migration center of the Russian Federation in Uzbekistan. Besides, they studied the establishment of services for issuing permits (patents) to Uzbek citizens for labor activities in Russia.
The parties agreed that this decision will have a positive impact on reducing the flow of illegal and irregular migration. It will enable labor migrants to enter into legal labor relations with employers, to ensure that their social and legal protection is provided before they depart for Russia.
At the end of the talks, the sides decided to hold the first meeting of the operational group on reaching the existing agreements on December 20, 2018 in Tashkent.
