Uzbek-Korean business center launched in Incheon city of South Korea
On November 9, the opening ceremony of the first Uzbek-Korean business center was held in Incheon city (the Republic of Korea).
It should be noted that Incheon is the third largest city in South Korea after Seoul and Pusan. Thanks to an enormous port on the western coast of the peninsula, it is the most important transportation hub of the country. The city has the status of a free economic zone. It is also called the “gate of the Korean capital” and is considered as part of so-called “Big Seoul”.
The business center is aimed at helping the expansion of exports from Uzbekistan to South Korea, increasing the volume of South Korean direct investment and promoting the tourism potential of our country.
For this purpose, the business center provides permanently operating showroom for a deeper familiarization of representatives of South Korean business circles. The showroom displays a wide range of products of Uzbek producers - textiles, silk, chemical, wine and vodka, fruit and vegetable products, as well as ceramics and wood, handmade jewelry and more.
About 400 people attended the ceremonial opening of the business center, including the leadership of the Korean Importers Association (KOIMA), Incheon FEZ and “Yevraziya 21” parliamentary organization, heads of dozens of diplomatic missions accredited in the country, representatives of ministries and state bodies, major manufacturing companies, social circles, as well as famous figures of culture and art of the Republic of Korea.
