Kazakhstan increases cement supplies to Uzbekistan

Kazakhstani cement producer increases exports to Uzbekistan, Kun.uz correspondent reports with reference to the Kazakhstani company.

The company TOO "SAS-Tobe Technologies", engaged in the production of cement and lime, is the first Kazakhstani manufacturer accredited at the Uzbek Commodity Exchange.

In almost two months, the volume of cement sold through the exchange reached 1,500 tons. The company plans to export more than 50% of its products to Uzbekistan, which is about 250 thousand tons of cement annually.

In the course of recent meetings with Uzbek manufacturers of building materials, preliminary agreements on cooperation with five producers of concrete for the supply of about 10 thousand tons of cement per month were concluded.

Also, as a pilot project, 2 thousand tons of cement will be purchased by the Uzbek Company KTS Drilling, which is engaged in the construction of roads and housing.
