On November 13, 2018, the solemn ceremony of raising the national flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held in front of the building where the General Consulate of our country will now be located.
Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation Botirjon Asadov, Minister of International and Foreign Economic Cooperation of the Sverdlovsk Region Vasily Kozlov, Representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Yekaterinburg Alexander Kharlov, general consuls accredited in Yekaterinburg, other officials and representatives of the Uzbek diaspora took part in the ceremony.
Speakers at the event noted that the new diplomatic mission, located in the administrative center of the Urals Federal District and the Sverdlovsk region, should be another bridge connecting Uzbekistan and Russian regions as well as the peoples of the two countries.
