Kazakh-Uzbek forum on interregional cooperation was held in Shymkent
The forum was attended by about 200 guests from Uzbekistan, including representatives of more than 60 Uzbek companies. From the Kazakh side there were more than 200 people - representatives of state bodies, national companies and local enterprises.
Tourism is a strategically important area for both countries. Joint progress and development of unified tour products will make it possible to find common contiguity. This was discussed by both organizers and participants of the forum.
“Positive dynamics of the number of visitors from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan and from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan confirms the huge demand of our citizens for a joint tourism product. In this regard, bilateral tourism should remain as one of the main topics of the forum agenda,” First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin said.
Within the framework of the forum, the Uzbek side organized a festival of Uzbek cuisine. It should be noted that 30 best chefs of Uzbekistan treated guests of the forum. They prepared various dishes of Uzbek cuisine, including salads and pastries. 60 kilograms of pilaf was cooked to feed everyone. At the same time, all cooking products were exclusively brought from Uzbekistan.
In addition, an exhibition was held at the Exhibition Center “Korme” to demonstrate the opportunities of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The fair was held in seven spheres of the industry.
At the exhibition, both sides presented agricultural equipment, special equipment and light vehicles. In total, 44 models were presented there. 13 of them are Uzbek models and 32 - Kazakh.
“It is important to note that we already have a positive experience of cooperation - this is the production of passenger cars RAVON-NEXIA R-3. Since beginning of this year, 411 cars have been produced in Kazakhstan. It is worth noting that there are reserves to increase the performance of this brand - it is popular among population,” Ertay Kadyr, deputy chairman of the industrial development and safety committee at the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan said.
At the fair, the Uzbek side presented a wide variety of food products, fruits and vegetables, as well as products of textile industry.
Within the framework of the forum, 13 cooperation documents were signed. Besides, the main goal of the final meeting – the possibility of creating the most favorable conditions for the movement of citizens, goods and vehicles across the joint border of both countries was achieved.
