Uzbekistan voted against the UN resolution on Crimea
According to the twitter report of the Ukrainian mission to the United Nations, Uzbekistan and 25 other countries voted against the updated resolution on “The situation of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol (Ukraine)” adopted by the third Committee of the UN General Assembly.
In total, 67 countries approved the draft resolution, 82 - neutral and 26 - against.
In particular, Russia, Serbia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Uganda, Uzbekistan, as well as Armenia, Belarus, Bolivia, Burundi, Cambodia, China, Cuba, North Korea, Eritrea, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Venezuela and Zimbabwe voted against.
After the voting at the Committee, the draft will be considered by the UN General Assembly. The voting is expected in December 2018.
