Russia transported a mobile anti-epidemic laboratory to Uzbekistan
The head of “Rospotrebnadzor” of Russia Anna Popova transferred portable anti-epidemic laboratories to Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Guinea. The ceremony of handing over the laboratory keys was held during the Interstate scientific-practical conference “Ensuring sanitarian-epidemiological welfare in the member states of CIS” which has begun on November 20, according to the report of TASS.
“Over the past three years, 12 peripatetic laboratories have been delivered to the CIS countries,” Ms. Popova said noting the carried out work in plague foci.
Unique mobile anti-epidemiological complexes have no analogues in the world in terms of biological safety and productivity. The laboratory consists of six complexes and can be delivered to any part of the planet in just one day. In a day, the complex is able to examine 500 to 3000 samples of particularly dangerous infections and contaminants, food, air, and water. It is envisaged to employ 35 personnel.
Interstate scientific-practical conference “Ensuring sanitary and epidemiological welfare in the member states of CIS” was held in Saratov on November 20-21. More than 500 people from 13 states, including Russia, Armenia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, etc., took part in the conference.
