Traffic accident killed 3 on Shakhrisabz-Karshi highway

Today, at about 8:05 a.m., a traffic accident happened on the Shakhrisabz-Karshi highway, the press service of the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

In compliance with the Defense Ministry’s plans on conducting emergency surveillance of the combat readiness of the troops and forces, military vehicles were heading to the training camp. The above-mentioned highway was closed for traffic movement in this regard.

However, a “Lacetti” driver, ignoring the no movement sign, continued to drive in that direction. As a result, he collided with a ZIL-131 military truck. Three people - the driver and two passengers of the car were killed. One passenger was injured and hospitalized.

The Ministry says his condition is stable.
