Government agencies will pay for errors occurred during registration of ownership rights to real estate

Government agencies in Uzbekistan will pay for any errors occurred during registration of ownership rights for real estate. Proposal of the draft law is published on regulations.gov.uz public portal.

At present, registration of the rights of legal entities and individuals to real estate is carried out by branches of state enterprises of land management and cadaster.

The authorities of Uzbekistan want to introduce financial responsibility for inaccurate registration of rights to real estate objects.

Uzbek people will be able to receive compensation by court order.

The amount of payments is yet to be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
