Alisher Usmonov to invest 500 billion rubles in modernization of the Russian power generation

Alisher Usmanov’s company “Metalloinvest” plans to allocate 507 billion rubles for modernization of power generation for ten years.
According to RBC, Vladimir Potanin’s “Norilskiy nikel”, Alisher Usmonov’s “Metalloinvest” and Said Karimov’s (the son of Senator Suleyman Karimov) “Polyus” companies are ready to allot 1.8 trillion rubles for new investment projects prepared under the auspices of the First Deputy Prime Minister Anton Siluanov.
On November 26, at the meeting of the Ministry of Finance, the list of proposing private investors-participants on this was composed.
The list includes 143 projects worth 7.3 trillion rubles from 21 large investors. “Nornikel” is ready to implement 12 projects at its own expense and will direct 749.4 billion rubles. “Metalloinvest” allocates 541.5 billion rubles to 17 investment projects totaling 812.2 billion rubles and “Polyus” – 507 billion rubles for 7 projects.
The list does not mention the names of projects, however, according to some sources, “Metalloinvest” plans to invest 507 billion rubles in the power generation for ten years.
