Uzbekistan to host Asian Cycling Championship in 2019
On December 2, a delegation headed by the President of Asian Cycling Federation Osama Ahmad Abdulla Alshafar arrived in Uzbekistan.
The main purpose of the visit was to study the preparations for the Asian championship on cycling in Uzbekistan. It should be noted that the tournament will be held on April 22-28, 2019.
On December 3, a meeting of the Executive Committee was held in Tashkent. During the talks, the level of preparation to the Asian Championship, condition of the highways and pending works were discussed, necessary recommendations were provided.
Director of the Asian Championship 2019 Hofer Roland, representative of the International Cycling Union Farkhod Aliyev visited Tashkent region. They studied conditions of the highways and hotels, where the competitions will be held.
For information, the first time in history Uzbekistan will host the Asian Championship in cycling. Licenses for the XXXII summer Olympic and XVI Paralympic Games will be granted to the winners of the Tashkent Championship. About 600 cyclists from nearly 40 countries of the Asian continent will participate.
The Asian Championship will be broadcasted directly via “Eurosport” TV channel.
