Uzbekistan to introduce temporary employment patent for self-employed individuals
On the portal of discussions of draft normative-legal acts, a draft document “On the state order in the sphere of ensuring employment and creation of new work places in 2019” was placed by the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations.
According to the document, the Uzbek Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations together with the State Tax Committee will submit a proposal to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan in two-month term to introduce a temporary patent for self-employment, in which incentive privileges will be granted to patent owners.
The State order envisages:
•inclusion of period in the employment record for self-employed citizens who produced payments for the periods of temporary employment patent;
•granting the right to have pensions when self-employed citizens retire through a temporary employment patent;
•granting preferential loans at the expense of the Foundation for Employment Assistance;
•free training in entrepreneurship and vocational training courses at vocational colleges under the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, the center “Welcome to work” and vocational training (KOICA) centers;
•involvement in paid public works and leasing of labor instruments.
