Uzbekistan is considering the possibility of introducing a visa-free regime for a number of states, including the countries of the European Union.

This became known during the negotiations held between Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov and the Regional Director of Lufthanza in the CIS Ronald Schultz.

Note that from October 5 this year, Uzbekistan introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of France, and in early March for citizens of Tajikistan.

In February, the republic launched a visa-free regime for citizens of seven countries. Now tourists from Israel, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey and Japan can stay in the country without a visa for 30 days from the date of arrival.

In addition, a list of 39 states was approved, for which, from February 10, 2018, a simplified procedure for issuing tourist visas is being introduced.

On July 15, the country introduced a system for processing and issuing electronic entry visas (E-VISA.UZ). During the first 50 days of its work, over 9 thousand travelers from 45 countries of the world received an entry visa to Uzbekistan.

During the ten months of 2018, the number of foreign citizens visiting Uzbekistan exceeded last year’s figures by almost 2 times and amounted to about 4.4 million people.
