The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, and the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs of Algeria, Ahmed Attaf, have signed a series of bilateral agreements following high-level negotiations.
The signing ceremony marks an effort to build a more comprehensive legal and diplomatic framework between the two nations. Among the primary documents finalized during the session is an agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of Algeria on the mutual exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports.
Additionally, the sides concluded a memorandum of understanding to advance educational and institutional ties. The partnership links the Diplomatic Academy at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan with the Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Algeria.

Writing on his official Telegram channel, the head of Uzbekistan's foreign ministry emphasized the long-term impact of the newly ratified documents. Saidov expressed confidence that the frameworks will establish a resilient legal foundation to systematically advance political dialogue, expand regular diplomatic exchanges, and enrich joint capabilities in training specialized diplomatic personnel.
The state-level agreements are expected to streamline communication channels between Tashkent and Algiers, facilitating more frequent institutional visits and professional knowledge exchange programs between the two diplomatic academies.
