Uzbekistan reduced cotton production by 600,000 tons
This year, 2.3 million tons of cotton were produced in Uzbekistan, Kun.uz correspondent reports citing congratulation message of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to agricultural workers.
Note that, according to the State Statistics Committee, last year the country collected over 2.9 million tons of raw cotton.
It shows considerable decrease in the amount of cotton produced.
“Despite all the difficulties, the country managed to harvest 6,124 million tons of grain, 2,300 million tons of cotton, 8,661 million tons of vegetables, 2,411 million tons of potatoes, 1,607 million tons of melons, about 2,100 million tons of fruit, 1,314 million tons of grapes, 18 thousand tons of cocoons, 1,789 million tons of meat and 7,830 million tons of milk,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted.
In general, for the year of hard work, agricultural products worth 58 trillion 181 billion soums were produced in Uzbekistan.
