Belarusian system of sports education to be introduced in Uzbekistan  

Uzbekistan intends to introduce the Belarusian system of sports education.
  
This was announced following the working visit of the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan Dilmurod Nabiyev to Belarus. 
  
Particularly, in the course of the visit, the experience of training sports personnel at the Republican Public School of Olympic Reserves, which is the basic institution to ensure the reserve of national teams of Belarus, was studied. 
 
“The Uzbek delegation became acquainted with the current system of selection and training of students of this school, as well as curricula and programs in relevant areas. The parties agreed to implement this system with the involvement of Belarusian specialists at boarding schools of the Olympic Reserves of Uzbekistan,” the Ministry of Sports reported. 
 
In addition, representatives of Uzbekistan visited the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture and got acquainted with the University’s educational facilities (track and field arena, swimming pool, gym, trampoline, jogging halls), organization of training personnel for the sports industry, as well as educational scientific-research laboratory. 
  
Following the talks, an agreement was reached on organizing an educational program to create a joint faculty with the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture. The faculty will be created on the basis of the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports. 
 
Starting from 2019-2020 academic year, training at the joint faculty will be carried out according to the principle “2 + 2”. Two years of theoretical training will be carried out at the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports and the next 2 years for practical training at the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture. 
  
In addition, the parties agreed on the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of retraining and developing the academic qualifications of the coaching staff in winter sports.
