Uzbekistan to attract $ 2.2 billion foreign direct investment in 2019

In accordance with the forecasts of the Ministry of Finance, in 2019, Uzbekistan will attract $ 2.2 billion foreign direct investment. This figure is expected to be $ 4.1 billion in 2021. This was announced in the bulletin “Budget for citizens”.
In addition, the volume of direct investments in Uzbekistan is expected to reach $ 1.7 billion by the end of 2018.
According to the data of the State Statistics Committee, in January-September 2018, foreign direct investment amounted to 7.3 trillion sums.
Foreign loans granted under state guarantee amounted to 10.4 trillion sums ($ 1.3 billion).
Especially, the share of private investment in the development of the national economy was 70.9% of total investments (50 trillion sums).
