Citizens to be able to get their biometric passport at the Public Services Centers

Citizens of Uzbekistan, in the near future, will be able to receive a biometric passport at the Public Services Centers (PSC), the press service of the Tashkent khokimiyat reports.

It should be noted that since the time PSC started operating, their number reached 201 throughout the country. Over this period, they have become a unique place where more than a hundred public services are provided promptly.

About 5 million different services have already been provided to citizens in a year’s time. To create additional amenities for visitors, the working hours of the Centers is prolonged until 20.00. 

The range of services provided is also expanding. Now one can get their Tax Identification Number, police checks and other necessary documents from these centers.

It is worth stressing that Bukhara PSC is already testing the service of issuing car license plates and a citizen’s biometric passport.

By 2020, the list of services is planned to expand to 160.
