Uzbekistan, Sweden discussed implementation of joint projects
On December 11, Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade Sakhib Saifnazarov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden with residence in Stockholm Ingrid Tersman.
The sides exchanged views on the practical aspects of the development of Uzbek-Swedish relations in bilateral and multilateral formats, including in the framework of the permanent dialogue “Uzbekistan – European Union”.
It was noted that the ongoing dynamic reforms in Uzbekistan open up new opportunities for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade-economic, investment and other fields.
Additionally, the parties discussed the possibility of trade-economic cooperation between two countries within the framework of joint projects and programs.
In particular, the prospects for cooperation with the Swedish side in the areas such as transport, pharmaceuticals, heavy engineering, metalworking and agriculture, as well as the use of Swedish experience in the modernization of Uzbek enterprises using the best available technologies were noted.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed mutual appreciation for the talks and valuable exchange of views.
