During the conversation, the Swedish King recalled with great satisfaction his visit to the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand with his wife Queen Silvia in 1978. The trip left them with the warmest and vivid memories of Uzbekistan and deep impressions of the beauty of ancient Samarkand.

The king welcomed the ongoing reforms in our country and noted the presence of broad potential for the development of relations between Uzbekistan and Sweden. In particular, taking into account the rich historical and architectural heritage of Uzbekistan, as well as the unique culture and traditions of the Uzbek people, cooperation in the field of tourism can become promising.
