Uzbekistan repatriates 21 nationals for breaching Swedish migration rules
Twenty-one Uzbek nationals who were staying in Sweden in violation of migration laws have been returned to Uzbekistan.
The group arrived in Tashkent late on February 11 aboard a charter flight that landed at Tashkent International Airport. According to the report, the individuals had entered Sweden in breach of established entry procedures and subsequently remained in the country in violation of Swedish migration regulations.
Upon arrival in Tashkent, the returnees were met by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant agencies. The citizens expressed gratitude to the Uzbek authorities and responsible institutions for the practical assistance provided in facilitating their return home.
The charter flight was organized within the framework of cooperation between the competent authorities of Uzbekistan and Sweden. Officials described the measure as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens abroad while maintaining respect for the legislation of host countries.
