Ministry of Defense to supervise the operational management of driving schools
The Central Council of the Defense Assistance Organization “Vatanparvar” made a decision on the free transfer of part of educational institutions (driving schools) to state ownership, Kun.uz correspondent reports referring to the presidential decree.
The Ministry of Defense will oversee the operational management of these educational institutions and autodromes with their fixed assets as well as their training-material and technical base.
Driving schools and autodromes will become part of the Centers for training of draftees in military technical specialties established at the regional defense departments as well as in Tashkent.
They will provide individuals and legal entities with paid services for training, retraining and advanced training of drivers and other specialists of mass technical professions.
It should be recalled that, recently, the government of Uzbekistan ordered the Ministry of Internal Affairs to build in each region at least one modern training center.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers instructed to develop, by mid-February of the coming year, proposals to strengthen the requirements for passing driver’s license exams.
