President Mirziyoyev lays flowers at the monument to Islam Karimov 

On December 14, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid flowers at the foot of the monument to the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov in the city of Karshi and paid tribute to his memory, the presidential press service reported.

Within the framework of the visit and the talks with local people, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the large-scale works carried out under the leadership of Islam Karimov when he was in charge of Kashkadarya region.

President met with elderly people and other respected members of the region as part of his visit.
