President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of modern greenhouses in Mubarek district, the press service of the President said.
In the region, most of which is occupied by the steppe, the creation of such greenhouses is especially important for ensuring well-being of the people.
Kobiljon Gulomov, a local farmer, was able to create an economical greenhouse. In 2016, having received 2 hectares of land plot next to the joint-stock company Mubarek Thermal Power Plant, he created a greenhouse and reservoirs for collecting rainwater. Vegetables in the greenhouse are drip irrigated.
It is also important that the greenhouse is heated with hot water coming from the Mubarek TPP. The power plant, in turn, needs cold water. Hot water after circulation in the greenhouse cools down and is sent back to the heat supply company. Both sides benefit from this.
This technique has proven its effectiveness. The farmer has built greenhouses on another 7 hectares. He intends to export his products to neighboring countries and expects solid profits.
Currently, almost a hundred people work in the greenhouses. In the future, the farmer plans to expand his activities and create new jobs.
The President examined the modern greenhouse and talked with the workers.
He noted that it is necessary to further expand the network of such greenhouses, which play an important role today in improving the welfare of the population and help create seasonal jobs.
