Turkey appoints new ambassador to Uzbekistan

In compliance with a relevant decree of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Turkey, new ambassadors to 25 countries, including Uzbekistan, have been appointed, Turkish media said.
According to the decree, Mehmet Sureyya Er, vice president of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), was appointed Turkish Ambassador to Uzbekistan.
In this position, he replaced Ahmet Basar Sen, who served at this post since December 2016.
