Proprietors can rent their home for tourists from January 1, 2019
In accordance with the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On additional measures to improve the order of provision of certain types of facilities for temporary living”, from January 1, 2019 onwards, proprietors have the right to rent their premises, without a notary certification, registered in the single electronic system “emehmon.uz” up to 30 days in accordance with a short-term lease contract.
Individuals, granting a rental facility for a period of up to 30 days, but no more than 60 days a year, can provide tourist services to foreigners as business entities without any registration. It should be noted that prior to obtaining such right, proprietors must be registered as business entities and use the accommodation provided as a place of residence in the manner prescribed by law.
Rented residential buildings are certified in a simplified manner by inclusion in the unique register of rental housing contracts.
The responsibility for touristic fees is borne by persons temporarily accommodating tourists in a residential building.
