Sea Breeze resort in Tashkent region to attract $5 billion investment
A total of $5 billion will be invested in the construction of the year-round Sea Breeze resort in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region, according to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade.
The investment will come from the Azerbaijani company Agalarov Development.
The resort will span a total area of 577 hectares, with the first phase covering 100 hectares.
The project aims to develop tourism infrastructure, generate new jobs, and attract international tourists. Once completed, Sea Breeze is expected to become one of the largest tourism projects in Uzbekistan.
Earlier reports indicated that the resort would be located on the shores of the Charvak Reservoir. For the convenience of visitors, a bridge is planned to connect the two banks of the reservoir. The waterfront will feature a boulevard, beaches, and recreational areas, while the slopes will be home to hotels, cottages, residential buildings, restaurants, and viewing platforms.
