Prospects for the development of equestrian sports in Uzbekistan discussed in Oman
On 1 January, a meeting was held in Muscat between the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Sultanate of Oman Anvar Abduhalimov, and the President of the Oman Equestrian Federation Al Sayyid Munther Bin Saif Bin Hamed Al Busaidi, the press service of the NOC reported.
This meeting is the result of close relations between the equestrian federations of Uzbekistan and Oman, which began in September 2018 during the official visit of Al Sayyid Munther to Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation between the federations and the prospects for the development of horse breeding and equestrian sports in Uzbekistan. In addition, there was a conversation about the participation of specialists of Uzbekistan in the educational programs of Oman, as well as the participation of our riders at competitions in the Sultanate and vice versa.
In 2019-2020, Uzbekistan plans to improve the material and technical base of equestrian schools. Ambassador Anvar Abduhalimov expressed his hope that our colleagues from Oman will take an active part in the modernization of these schools.
Particular attention was paid to the creation of an infrastructure for the use of hippotherapy in schools for children with disabilities.
The project will include construction of stables, auxiliary buildings, the purchase of horses and special equipment on the territory of schools.
